4 Years

GoBoomTV has turned 4 years old.

The channel started in 2020, when I was keen to get into YouTube. It was called "Builders and Drivers", which was its original name. The oldest videos on the channel are from those days.

The channel has grown to 140 subscribers, 30,000 views and 300 videos, and I could not be more proud, even if I tried. There is no better channel if I could want one - all we need to do it keep the subscribers rolling in.

Looking at my SocialBlade stats, it would seem that we are beginning to average a minimum of 100 views every day, it would be awesome to increase that.

I've not been one to beg for likes, comments or subscribers, I've let people join at their own decision. I don't plan to change that. However, if you would like, sharing the YouTube channel with your friends may boost this channel's popularity. I have no way of knowing.

This time last year, the channel sat on 35 subscribers. Since December 2023 it has gained 105 subscribers.

The channel's best month yet was February 2024, nearly doubling my subscriber count. Every time I looked at the subscriber count on YouTube Studio, it had pretty much gone up by 10, and I was constantly changing the name of the special series.

In terms of views, the best video yet was a red minivan towing about 6 trailers behind it, gaining 8,000 views within the first couple of days. That truly blew my mind.

Today we proudly celebrate 4 years of making content, gaining subscribers, starting a community, and hopefully that will continue for a long long time.

The future of GoBoomTV - what's going to happen?

At the moment, the amount of content coming out won't change. The style of content won't change. However, I may soon start looking at possibly starting to commentate streams, which would not only be a massive feat for the channel, but introduce a new way of interacting with viewers. If this happens, the stream will clearly state so.

Music in the streams would not be removed, rather the volume would be reduced.

Very soon may also bring IRL videos, however this is yet to be decided.

GoBoomTV will also begin playing Bejeweled 3 officially, starting this afternoon.
